Nissan Ariya: marketing, autonomy, technical sheet

Nissan Ariya: marketing, autonomy, technical sheet

The Japanese brand's first 100% electric SUV, the Nissan Ariya promises a range of up to 500 km. Its first deliveries will take place during the second half of 2022.

Inspired by the eponymous concept presented in October 2019 at the Tokyo Motor Show, the Nissan Ariya marks the arrival of a new generation of electric vehicles within the Japanese brand. Taking up the Alliance's CMF-EV electric platform, it is placed halfway between the Qashqai and the X-Trail in terms of size. 4.6 m long, it can accommodate up to 5 occupants.

In terms of design, it uses the “V” grille typical of the brand’s models and stands out with its fine optics and its light claws in which the indicators are integrated. Full, the grille is completed by a bright Nissan logo. At the rear, the narrow optics are connected by a wide light strip with black lenses in the center of which the brand name is placed.

Interior of the Nissan Ariya

The interior of the Nissan Ariya is inspired by the particularly refined philosophy of the IMx concept. Minimalist, the dashboard is not cluttered with a multitude of buttons. Instead, touch controls that illuminate whenever the vehicle is in motion. In the end, the only physical controls come down to the start button, the one used to activate the on-board computer and the ventilation controls. Seeming to be one, the on-board computer and digital instrumentation consist of two 12.3-inch screens. The first is dedicated to the instrumentation while the second gives access to the infotainment system.

In terms of loading volume, the capacity increases to 468 liters on the two-wheel drive version and 415 liters on the all-wheel drive.

Nissan Ariya engine and performance

The Nissan Ariya was developed on the basis of a new modular platform from the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. It is available in several configurations. In traction, its power varies from 160 to 178 kW depending on the battery capacity chosen. In all-wheel drive, the power can vary from 205 to 225 kW depending on the type of battery chosen. Nissan's electric SUV can even climb to 290 kW in the Performance version, the latter announcing a 0 to 100 km/h time of 5.1 seconds.

Nissan Ariya battery and range

Nissan offers two types of packs on its electric SUV. Offering 65 kWh of capacity, including 63 useful, the first announces 403 km on a single charge. Displaying 90 kWh, including 87 useful, the second offers between 480 and 520 km depending on the engine chosen.

In the table below, you will find the different configurations available as well as the corresponding autonomy.
