Tesla Cybertruck in Chechnya: the rumor that bothers Elon Musk

Did Tesla and Elon Musk help the Chechens wage war against Ukraine? While there is no evidence of this, the rumors launched by Kadyrov have cast a new shadow over the firm.

Tesla and Elon Musk certainly did not need rumors surrounding Chechnya and its leader. And yet, Ramzan Kadyrov’s use of the Cybertruck and the mention of Musk’s name are problematic.

Kadyrov recently said that he had recovered an electric pickup and installed a machine gun. This self-proclaimed right-hand man of the Russian regime had declared that he was sending this vehicle to Ukraine.

The first question was how Kadyrov had gotten his Cybertruck. Indeed, American sanctions against Russia and its allies should have prevented such a donation. Worse for Tesla, Kadyrov had assured that the vehicle had been sent to him by Elon Musk himself.

A “gift” from Musk to Kadyrov?

The latter had obviously denied the facts, and the story remained silent for a few weeks. Later, Kadyrov revealed that the Cybertruck had been remotely deactivated by Musk himself. In revealing this, he also reiterated that the billionaire had given him this car.

“Recently, Musk deactivated the Cybertruck remotely,” the Chechen leader said. “This is not a nice thing from Elon Musk. He gives expensive gifts from his heart and deactivates them remotely. This is not courageous. We had to tow our iron horse. How could you do this, Elon?”

Without knowing whether this deactivation is actually possible, Kadyrov continues his propaganda. A little later, a video showed Chechen warriors with two khaki green Cybertrucks. The integration of the weapons was visibly better thought out.

According to RT, an openly pro-Russian media, the Chechens bypassed the deactivation. But this information must be taken with caution. Indeed, this media sometimes tends to support the propaganda of the Putin regime.
