MG increases the discount on the MG 4. It now reaches €8,000! We now have an electric compact at the price of a city car! Two years ago, MG shook up the electric car market with its MG 4 compact at knockdown prices. It was an immediate success, with more than 20,000 registrations in 2023 on the French market.
But sales then collapsed. From January to November 2024, the brand registered 7,214 units in our country, a drop of 55%. The cause? The loss of the ecological bonus. Since the end of 2023, the car has been deprived of state aid, due to its Chinese production, which prevents it from having a sufficient eco-score.
MG instantly covered the loss of the bonus, with a big promo of €5,000, which allows for still very aggressive prices, starting at €24,990. But the bonus is clearly a very important sales element.
To sell off well-stocked stocks, MG decided to go even further in the promos. In addition to having launched a 0% credit offer on the occasion of Black Friday, which will remain valid for orders until December 24 (up to €15,000 of 0% financing however…), the manufacturer is drawing an even bigger promo. The brand adds a €3,000 gift, or a discount of €8,000. This is valid on vehicles in stock.
We therefore get an electric compact at €21,990, or the price of a hybrid city car! Note that the battery of the Standard version is now announced at 49 kWh instead of 51 kWh, but the WLTP combined cycle range is still promised at 350 km. A value more than sufficient for everyday journeys. For a few longer escapades, there is a DC 88 kW fast charge.
The basic equipment is also complete, with navigation on a 10.25-inch screen, automatic air conditioning, reversing camera and hands-free access. Last big advantage: the car is guaranteed for 7 years.
