Audi Q6 Performance: the less efficient, but more economical electric SUV

Audi is starting to expand the Q6 e-tron range by adding a Performance version. A designation which actually concerns the entry-level propulsion of the electric SUV.

The Audi Q6 made its debut with its highest-end models: Q6 Quattro and SQ6. It is now time to welcome the version which, instead of focusing on 0 to 100 km/h, nevertheless achieved in 6.7 s, favors consumption and autonomy. This Q6 Performance is therefore rather poorly named, but perhaps we at Audi thought that calling it only Q6 was a bit short and not salesy enough?

The 100 kWh battery is unchanged (94.9 kWh net), and the main modification compared to the Q6 Quattro comes from the removal of the front motor. A propulsion version therefore, which benefits from a rear motor of 240 kW and 485 Nm. It will therefore be less efficient despite its name, but it is also 125 kg lighter. 2200 kg anyway.

The approved consumption thus drops to 16.5 kWh and the autonomy is announced at 641 km. Finally, everything will depend on the use of options. Because, depending on the configuration, consumption can rise to 19.1 kWh and the range can drop to 556 km… In all cases, the difference compared to the version with two motors and four-wheel drive is around 0. 5 kWh/100 km and around twenty kilometers.

No change for charging with a maximum power of 270 kW and the possibility of recovering 260 km in 10 minutes of charging.

Deliveries of the Q6 will begin in August. You will have to wait until September for this Performance version priced at 68,800 euros, or 5,900 less than the Quattro.
