Mbappé is crazy about this huge plug-in hybrid SUV, but he won't be able to drive it

BMW has been a Real Madrid sponsor for three years now. As part of this partnership, the brand lends a vehicle to each player, as well as to some members of the staff, for a year. Kylian Mbappé opted for the BMW XM, a large plug-in hybrid SUV that costs nearly 180,000 euros.

Each season, Real Madrid players can choose a "company vehicle" from BMW. A collaboration that allows the brand to have great visibility. Each player proudly poses with his new model and uses it throughout the year. For this new season, the football club and the German firm have agreed to only offer electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles.

Mbappé chose the BMW XM, but he doesn't have a license

Kylian Mbappé Lottin, a French professional footballer who plays as a forward for La Liga club Real Madrid and captains the France national team. Most of the players chose between these models: BMW iX2, i5, i7, XM, or iX. The cars were handed over last week at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium. Our French star, Kylian Mbappé, has chosen the XM. This large 5 m long SUV is equipped with a 653 hp plug-in hybrid engine. It has a 25.7 kWh battery that allows it to travel 83 km in electric mode. Its price? 178,000 euros.

The French footballer is not the only one to have opted for this model. Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, Luka Modric, Dani Carvajal, Thibaut Courtois and Dani Ceballos have made the same choice. Others like Militao or Vinicius have preferred the BMW i7, a large 100% electric sedan that offers up to 625 km of autonomy. A vehicle even more powerful than the XM since it offers 660 hp in its M70 xDrive version.

These cars, which must be returned at the end of the season, are supposed to allow players to get to training. Enough to offer great visibility to the German brand throughout the year. But it turns out that some players will not even be able to enjoy them behind the wheel. Indeed, Mbappé and Bellingham still do not have a license. It's frustrating!
